Stronger presence in the Americas – for your projects and cargo flows

From 1 May, Rob Jacquet takes on the role of President and Commercial Director of SAL in the Americas – further strengthening our services across North, Central and South America.

For our customers, this means one thing above all: even closer market access, stronger commercial alignment and faster decision-making across the region.

With decades of experience in heavy lift and multipurpose shipping, Rob brings a deep understanding of both project cargo and liner requirements in the Americas – supporting everything from complex, one-off transports to recurring cargo flows.

In his new role, he will oversee all commercial heavy lift and MPP activities in the region, working closely with our established teams – including the SAL Intermarine liner service organisation led by Francisca Cruz. SAL Intermarine is a specialized business unit within SAL responsible for liner services in the Americas.

Combined with a global fleet of around 90 heavy lift and multipurpose vessels operated together with Jumbo, this strengthens our ability to deliver reliable services, flexible deployment and tailored transport solutions across the Americas.
